SR 11-7 addendum for agents

How model-risk inventory, validation, effective challenge and monitoring change when the model is wrapped in an agent.

Why it exists

Banks do not need a new framework. They need the existing one applied honestly to a system that takes actions — before an examiner does it for them.

What it contains

01

Inventory unit of account — the agent, the model, or the action class

02

Validation scope extension — authority, tool surface, and failure containment alongside model performance

03

Effective challenge with non-deterministic systems — what a credible challenge looks like

04

Ongoing monitoring triggers — provider version changes, prompt changes, tool additions

05

Documentation expectations that survive an examination

The artifacts are general by design. Applying one to a specific estate is what the governance review does.
